is to ensure a safe, healthy, and loving environment that will provide temporary shelter for abandoned, stray, and surrendered animals and to find each animal a new and prosperous home.

Hi, my name is Kero! When I came to the shelter I was diabetic, however with proper diet and weight loss, I am now in remission. My new family will need to make sure to help me watch my weight so I can be healthy. I am a cuddly and gentle cat with a playful side that comes out every once in awhile. I previously lived with a dog and we did okay. With proper introduction, I might like another dog that isn't too rambunctious. I like a quiet life so I would prefer a home without small children as well. I also apply for the shelter's "Golden Oldie" promotion, so I am only $25 now through June 30th!

MuttNation 50/50

A special thanks to the MuttNation Foundation along with Miranda Lambert and her mother, Bev Lambert, who chose The Babinski Foundation as their exemplary shelter for Minnesota this year in their Mutts Across America: 50 states/50 Shelters Grant. We were absolutely thrilled to be chosen and we hope to continue to represent Minnesota in standing out as a model shelter.

About the Founder

The Babinski Foundation was established in 2010 by Donald Babinski owner and founder of Babinski Properties. Donald was working tirelessly to get the animal shelter opened which was his dream. Donald Babinski tragically passed away August 11th, 2014. His surviving family and friends would not let his dream vanish, the building was completed December 2015, and did a soft open January 2016. The Babinski Foundation grand opening was August 12th, 2017. Donald's dream was finally realized, but we will continue to work hard and hopefully make him proud for years to come.

I will give these animals the shot they need to find a great home.
