The Lakes Area Food Shelf and The Babinski Foundation Animal Shelter are teaming up to support pet owners in our community! Food security should extend to every member of the family, including the four-legged ones.

Beginning February 3rd, The Babinski Foundation will provide dog and cat food to the Lakes Area Food Shelf when a surplus is available or a donation is made specifically for this initiative. To kick off this partnership, we are hosting a Free Microchip Clinic on February 3rd from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakes Area Food Shelf.

We know that many people put their pets' needs above their own. Our goal is to ensure your cats and dogs stay fed and safe, giving you one less thing to worry about. If your pet needs food or a microchip to help bring them home if they’re ever lost, please stop by and see us!

*** To receive a microchip, please bring printed or digital proof of a current rabies vaccination for your pet.
